The Beginning

Lead City High School Jericho, Ibadan is a private, co-educational high school, situated in a serene environment. The school is owned by the proprietors of Lead City University , a Federal Government-approved private university. The school offers qualitative education in a wide range of school subjects at the Junior and Senior Secondary levels. In addition, it offers tuition for Cambridge O and A levels, SAT and TOEFL, IELTS, and remedial programmes for GCE, UME , PCE, and NECO exams. Evening coaching classes are also available for both JSS and SSS students.

Our students have automatic admission into two foreign universities and one Nigerian university that we have linkage arrangements with. These are the University of Witts Waterstrand and Midrand University in South Africa and in Nigeria, our sister institution - Lead City University, Ibadan.

Staff:Teachers in the school are highly qualified graduates with high competence in their various teaching subjects. Most of them have second degrees and vast experience in the school system.

VISION: The vision of the founders is to build an institution that provides education and training of uncompromising standards, that is relevant and consistent with our students' personal and social needs. Equal attention is paid to academic excellence and character training.

ORGANIZATION: In all its workings, the school emphasises the development of responsible individuals who possess the ability to think clearly, logically, and independently as participating members of a democratic society. The school expects students to show qualities of leadership, and through the school's Students Council, encourages involvement in decisions concerning the growth of the school.

An extensive extra-curricular schedule complements our teaching programme. Students are encouraged to be part of academic clubs and societies. These help to ensure the worthy use of students' leisure time. Local excursions are organised per class every term and foreign excursions every year. We also provide a comprehensive career education programme for all our students.
